Manufacturing faults are repaired or remade without charge, for the life of the piece. The warranty travels with the piece, not the receipt.
What is covered, forever
- Stones that loosen or fall from a setting through a fault in the making — reset or replaced free, including the stone.
- Claw, bezel or shank faults; solder joints; clasp and fitting failures.
- Rhodium plating defects on white gold within the first two years, and complimentary re-plating thereafter under Sertelle Care.
- The hallmark and certificate: if either is ever queried, we handle the verification with the Assay Office or laboratory directly.
What is not
Honest wear and accidents: a band bent in a gym, a chain snapped in a doorway, a stone chipped against a worktop (rare, but physics spares no one). For those we repair at cost, quoted before any work begins — and the labour is often modest because the bench is our own.
No registration, no small print rituals
There is nothing to activate. The piece is the warranty: every Sertelle item carries its hallmark and, above 0.30ct, a laser-inscribed certificate number. If it is ours, we look after it — including pieces received as gifts or inheritances.
Making a claim
- Email hello@sertelle.co.uk with a photograph and a sentence on what happened.
- We reply within one working day with a pre-paid insured label.
- Assessment happens on the bench within 48 hours of arrival; warranty repairs return to you within 7–14 days, insured.
