Fingers change. Rings should keep up. Resizing, re-polishing and refinishing are part of owning a Sertelle piece — most of it free, all of it done at our own bench.
Resizing
- Your first resize is complimentary, whenever it happens — next month or next decade.
- Made-to-order rings include a free resize within 60 days of delivery, no questions asked.
- Subsequent resizes are charged at cost — typically £45–£85 depending on the band — and quoted before we begin.
Most bands move up to two sizes in either direction. Full pavé and knife-edge bands have less travel; if a resize would compromise the setting, we will say so and remake the band instead — at cost for the metal, not the making.
How it works
- Email hello@sertelle.co.uk with your order number; we send a pre-paid, insured shipping label.
- Post the ring in any secure box — the label covers insurance door to door.
- We resize, re-polish, check every claw, clean ultrasonically, and return it insured within 7–10 days.
Re-polishing & refinishing
Gold gathers a life of fine lines; an annual polish returns the mirror. White gold is re-rhodium-plated in the same visit. Both are complimentary under Sertelle Care — as often as once a year, forever. Platinum rarely needs more than a clean; when it does, we re-burnish rather than remove metal.
While it is on the bench
Every returning piece gets the full inspection: claws tightened, girdle inscription verified against your certificate, hallmark checked, chain links stress-tested. If we find a fault that falls under the Lifetime Warranty, we repair it without asking.
