The House

Our Story

Sertelle began with a simple observation: the diamond had changed, and the jewellery world had not noticed.

A Mayfair doorway in soft daylight

Laboratory-grown diamonds are not imitations. They are diamonds — carbon, crystallised, atom by atom — grown above ground in a matter of weeks rather than mined over geological time. The same laboratories grade them. The same light moves through them. What changes is everything around the stone: the footprint, the provenance, and the price of certainty.

We are a London house. Our pieces are designed here, set here, and hallmarked at the London Assay Office — the same marks of assurance fine jewellery has carried for over seven centuries. We put those marks on lab-grown diamond jewellery because we believe modern heirlooms deserve old-fashioned proof.

The workshop

A jeweller’s bench in the Sertelle atelier

Every Sertelle piece passes across a bench in our atelier before it passes to you. Stones are matched to their settings by eye as well as by certificate; claws are checked under the loupe; bands are polished by hand. It is slower this way. It is also the only way we would want our name inside a ring.

What we make

A small, considered collection — the Icons — and a made-to-order atelier for pieces designed around you. Every piece can be configured: carat, quality preset, metal. We would rather make fewer things properly than many things almost.

What we promise

Certified by IGI or GIA. Hallmarked at the London Assay Office. Yours for life — resizing, re-polishing and care, on the house.

If you are near Mayfair, come and see us. If you are not, the same four decisions are waiting in the Atelier.
