Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what you can tell us to do about it. We do not sell your data.

Who is responsible

The data controller is [COMPANY NAME], Foxwood, Surlingham, Norwich NR14 7GQ, United Kingdom. If we are required to register with the ICO our registration number is [ICO NUMBER].

What we collect

To fulfil your order: name, delivery and billing address, email, phone, ring size and the specification of your piece. Automatically: device and usage data through cookies — see Cookies. If you ask us to: your email for the newsletter.

Card details are handled by Shopify Payments and never reach us.

Why, and on what legal basis

Contract — to make and deliver your order and handle returns. Legal obligation — to keep tax and hallmarking records. Legitimate interests — to prevent fraud and improve the shop. Consent — marketing email and non-essential cookies, withdrawable at any time.

Who we share it with

Only those who need it: Shopify (our shop platform), our payment providers, our jewellery manufacturers and the London Assay Office where hallmarking is required, and our carriers. Some operate outside the UK; where they do, transfers rely on adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Order and tax records for six years after the end of the relevant tax year, as UK law requires. Marketing consent until you withdraw it. Anything else, no longer than needed.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or ask for it in a portable form. Email hello@sertelle.co.uk. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
